His early contributions were crucial in introducing the first AMCs on the Swiss market, laying a solid foundation for future innovation in this area.

Through his tenure at various financial institutions, Thomas played a pivotal role in developing and refining the AMC multi-asset class business. His pioneering work not only established the firm as the first client of the vestr platform, but also set the standard for digital solutions and client-centric enhancements in the AMC space, exemplifying his commitment to improving the value and accessibility of these financial products.

Thomas has practical experience and academic achievements, including a CAS in Fintech & Blockchain Economy and a CAS in Digital Leadership from the HWZ - University of Applied Sciences for Business Administration, Zurich. His acquisition of the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation further showcases his comprehensive understanding of the broader landscape of alternative investments.

With over two decades in the AMC industry, Thomas's career is marked by a humble yet impactful approach to innovation, a continuous pursuit of knowledge, and a forward-looking perspective on the convergence of technology and finance, establishing him as a respected figure in the field.

With over 12 years of experience in the financial industry, her expertise lies in structured products and Actively Managed Certificates (AMCs). During her time as a trader of multi-asset class AMCs at a large Swiss bank, she had the opportunity to gain a deep understanding of these financial instruments. Her focus has always centered on growing this business by innovating solutions that leverage technology to professionalize the management of AMCs. Transitioning from banking to her current role at vestr, she carried with her valuable insights and knowledge that she applies daily, striving to enhance the efficiency of the management of AMCs for issuers and portfolio managers alike. As part of the vestr team, she continuously contributes meaningfully to this exiting and ever-evolving industry.

Michèle holds a master’s degree in Banking and Finance from the University of St.Gallen, HSG.

He has worked with both large corporations, with Google and Meta amongst them, and start ups and has managed significant marketing campaigns across different geographies.

Mischa brings 15 years of management consulting expertise. He has worked with Global 500 clients across multiple industries - such as capital markets, banking and life science - and led global transformations through the full business life cycle. Mischa is a certified SAFeProgramme Consultant (SPC) and holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from ETH Zürich.

Pascal started his career in the M&A team of a Swiss insurance company. There, he had the opportunity to work on exciting and dynamic M&A projects, as well as support strategically important business development initiatives both in Switzerland and abroad. 

Following this, he gained further experience in financial services as an M&A Manager at a Big 4 consulting firm, providing comprehensive buy- and sell-side advisory services throughout the entire transaction life cycle.

Has a knack for teamwork and getting things done  

Aron has spent more than 7 years in the Swiss IT scene, where he worked with promising award-winning startups as well as leading companies in the financial services industry. Before joining vestr, he worked for Switzerland’s leading core banking solution provider.

Originally from Iceland, Aron began his career working as a researcher in plasma physics before transitioning into software development. As a full stack software engineer, he has been responsible for projects ranging from 3D reconstruction algorithms, to mobile messaging clients, to digital wealth management services. Additionally, he has served as a consultant, and has a knack for coaching people and getting things done.

Aron not only leads our cross-functional product team, but is also a driving force in our day-to-day operations: growing the vestr solution while ensuring a solid delivery process for our clients.

He holds a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology from ETH Zürich.

Eugene is an accomplished senior software engineer with a rich background encompassing 7 years of diverse experience in both frontend and backend development.

His expertise spans multiple industries, including fintech, logistics, and HR systems, allowing him to navigate complex technological landscapes with finesse.

Holding a Bachelor's in Computer Engineering, Eugene adeptly blends theoretical knowledge with practical implementation, driving innovation in his projects.

Former manager of global Delta One Products at leading issuer

Stefan began his career as a derivatives structurer in 1994 and established the European exotic options trading desk of a leading global bank. He ran one of the most active and consistently profitable equity option trading teams globally. Subsequently, Stefan ran the bank’s EMEA structured products business, where he developed a range of investment products and funds. Over $50 billion of these investments were successfully placed with high net worth and institutional clients.

Prior to joining vestr, Stefan established a successful fund, which specialized in derivative and value investing arbitrage strategies. He went onto manage the global Delta One business - including AMCs - at a top Swiss issuer of structured products.

Former cross-asset trader

Before co-founding vestr, Simon worked at a leading Swiss bank, first as a financial engineer, and then as a senior derivatives trader. While there, he gained exposure to asset management, sales, and trading.

Simon studied pure mathematics at King’s College London and ETH Zürich, earning a master’s degree with highest honours and graduating with a perfect GPA.

As a medalist at the Math Olympiad, Simon represented Switzerland in Greece and Mexico.

Builder of complex financial platforms and models

After completing his Ph.D. in theoretical physics, Tim started his career within the financial services industry as a consultant for numerous large European banks.

Following his consulting career, Tim pursued two in-house positions at major banks. First, as a quantitative analyst in the structured products division of a top Swiss bank, where he was responsible for building a platform for issuing investment certificates. Later, Tim joined the asset management division of a well-known German bank, where he built credit risk and cash flow models for pricing complex loan portfolios and credit-linked notes.

His quantitative insights and product knowledge form the core of the vestr technology platform.

Former senior buy- and sell-side trader
Expert in active investment management

Rico was responsible for a multi-billion proprietary trading book at a top US bank in London and New York. He also traded exotic derivatives at the same institution - sharing responsibility for a complex and highly profitable correlation book.

After his return to Switzerland, Rico joined a Swiss bank, where he advanced to become the deputy head of structured products sales & trading. During his tenure, Rico’s team managed a sizable operation in Actively Managed Certificates with equities, bonds, funds, futures, and options underlyings.

Rico earned quantitative degrees from the University of California, Berkeley, and the University of Oxford. He holds a PhD from the London School of Economics (LSE).

Thanks to his previous role as the Senior Principal Enterprise Architect at an established software consulting firm, Peter knows what it takes to deliver high-quality results. Formerly the Head of Web and Mobile Engineering at a global Swiss bank, Peter is well-equipped to deliver scalable software solutions under tight resource and time constraints.

It is under Peter’s pragmatic and hands-on leadership that the vestr solution is maturing into an industry standard.
